WFMW: Bird's Eye Pepper Stir-Fry

Many times when I buy different produce items, they end up going bad before my husband & I can eat them. Along with this problem is that many times if the produce is not in season, it can add up pretty quickly. So, something that works for us is Bird's Eye Pepper Stir-Fry packages found in the freezer section. The bag is about 1lb, and the mixture is red, yellow, & red bell peppers along with onion pieces. I pay about $2 per package which is much cheaper than buying fresh. What's great about these is that they're already chopped up for you! We use these in our meals of fajitas, pizzas, and omelets. These work great for us!

We love these too. I try to have a bag in the freezer. Then, when we have leftover steak or roast, I chop that up and put it in the freezer. On a cool day, throw those in a pot with a can of diced tomatoes, spices, and broth, and you've got a hearty steak soup with little work!

Great idea, Pam. I buy up peppers when they're on sale at Aldi and then freeze them so we can use them later. Peppers add a rich flavor to lots of dishes. I especially like to use them in quiche.

Well what a novel idea! I could even use it for steak subs, because hubby doesn't like peppers and they would keep because they are in the freezer!!!! Thanks for the idea and money saver!!! I really appreaciate it!
