Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Hope yours started out nicely. It's nice to have a fresh clean calendar & new start to the year.
Our last weekend of 2006 was spent working on Geoff's poor little car. It didn't pass PA's yearly inspection test (don't get me started on some PA's government's communistic type control on us!), so we went out and bought more parts & I "helped" Geoff again. We're praising the Lord though on Geoff's mechanic abilities. He has saved us $600-$700 in the last 2 weeks by doing the repairs himself!! That means a LOT when you don't have hundreds of dollars sitting around waiting for the car to break down.
After our evening church service on Sunday, we went to our youth pastor's home with 2 other couples for food & fellowship. They have younger children, so we thought we'd be out of there by 10 & ring in the new year in our jammies on our couch. Well, we were having so much fun playing Apples to Apples, that we didn't leave until 12:30 am. It was relaxing & enjoyable though.
I've never done any resolutions or goals for New Year's, but the pastors of my church greatly encouraged us to read through the entire Bible during 2007. On Girl Talk, today, they linked an ESV Bible reading plan that is e-mailed to you daily. Great idea! I found a site at www.bibleplan.org that has quite a few plans to choose from and various versions for each plan. So, I'm signed up. Even though it's the 2nd of January, it's not too late to start!

Hey Pam, just found your blog via Georgia's. Sounds like you guys are busy. I found a great reading plan that goes through the Bible chronologically, which seems to make things flow more for me. I'm sure Thomas would want me to send along greetings to Geoff--he's working the graveyard shift for the Colorado State Patrol tonight. Hope you are doing well. --Rachel (Anderson) Berkheiser

Kelly,
I've probably read the entire Bible (hope that doesn't sound prideful), but just not from beginning to end without skpping around. I'm up for the challenge.

Rachel,
It's been forever! Thanks for stopping by & you're welcome any time. I saw pics of you & your beautiful family on Georgia's blog a little while ago. It's so hard to think we finished college 5 years ago! Reading through chronologically sounds so cool. I'm definitely going to look for one of those Bibles.
