Nothing Blog-Worthy

I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted. Guess I've been too busy reading everyone else's blogs! I don't have anything blog-worthy to present to you, just regular old life.

We're here & staying busy during the last couple weeks of Geoff's break. We'll be sending out information about us to a Ministry Placement service, and we're anxious to see how that will go. If you know of any church needing an assistant pastor, let us know! :) It's hard to plan anything not knowing where you'll be in 6 months, but it sure is exciting! Well, exciting might not be the word-how about nerve-wracking & a little freaky. But, I know God's will is best & He will show us when we need to know. No use working up gray hairs over this.

For Christmas we received a couple of board games for us to play with each other. Sometimes it's hard to find games that 2 people can play. Uno with 2 people can only last so long, know what I mean? One cute story about one of our board games is this. I finished wrapping Geoff's gifts & placed them under the Christmas tree. The next day I opened up the closet in our office to grab the iron, and look down to see the game Operation. "Oh, no, I forgot to wrap Geoff's game!" I think, but then remember that I did. Suddenly it dawns on me that I'm looking at my own gifts from Geoff. After shoving the door shut quickly so I don't see anything else. I laugh. Who would have thought we would give each other Operation? :) So, before this break ends, I will enjoy beating Geoff in games of Operation, Stratego, & Family Feud. :)

Hee-hee! That's such a cute story - you two sure know each other, eh? Ooh, family feud is one of my favorites too! Stratego's a good one also. Have you tried scrabble? That's a good two person game. We've even done rook together - there's a two person variation listed in the rules. You're right though, a lot of games just don't work with 2 lonely souls. :)

Hey Pam,
Surprise, surprise - I see Alicia is promoting scrabble! :) I like scrabble too. We enjoy a lot of two person games. We like Racko, quiddler (like scrabble, but with cards), Golf, Yahtzee, Skip-Bo, Sequence. We love games so we play even when it's just the two of us.

Christina- It's been YEARS since I've played Opeation! I think it's harder now that I have bigger hands. :)
Alicia - I was just waiting for you to mention Scrabble. ;) Geoff did get Scrabble for the computer, but I think it's for 1 person to play. I can't imagine us covering our eyes so we don't see the other peron's letters on the screen. :)
Kelly - we have Racko & Skp-Bo too! I love Sequence, bu we haen't picked that one up yet.

It's not like we don't like playing with other people, but with our crazy schedules, it's nice to set aside 20-30 minutes every now & then to play a quick game & take a break from the books.
