Flying Away

Ever wish you could just fly away? Since we're having such a frigid spring, going to a warmer climate sounds wonderful to me!

If you could fly away,…

1. To any tropical island, where would it be and why? What would you do there?
I don't know much about tropical islands, but Hawaii seems so nice to me. I'd take my hubby with me & we'd hang out on the beach, check out the volcanoes, and relax. Mmmmm. Sounds heavenly!

2. To any cultural location, where would it be and why? What would you do there?
I think I would head to the country. Whenever we take a day trip to Lancaster County & see the Amish people, I come back so relaxed. Their way of life is so slow. Don't get me wrong, I know they work very hard, but they just aren't caught up in a rat race. If I could I'd spend a weekend out there at a little quaint B&B and just relax, visit a couple antique shops, and enjoy the quietude.

3. To any adventure vacation, where would it be and why? What would you do there?
Adventure & me don't mix well. An adventure for me is to find a store in another town & not get lost. Disney World looks like fun, thought. Would that count as an adventure??

4. What would be your ultimate fly away vacation?
Anywhere with my hubby where we could go together and I wouldn't have to cook and he wouldn't have to read or write papers. *Sigh* That would be the ultimate vacay.

Great questions, Pam!

1. I've always wanted to go to Fiji. Seems like it wouldn't be as touristy as caribbean locales. Lots of culture, nature and volcano-visiting for us too! And just sitting around on the beach swimming or reading.
2. I'd hop on a plane to Europe! I've never been there and I'd love to explore the history of Spain and England especially.
3. After visiting New Zealand briefly, I'd definitely choose to go back for some adventure and hiking. They have spectacular mountains, sounds, glaciers, and wildlife preserve islands.
4. Oops, guess I answered this in #2 already. Europe would be my choice.

Hang in there! Only a few weeks left of this dreadful semester. When is Geoff all done?

You'll make it, Pam! Maybe it would be possible for you to do an Amish B&B this summer to celebrate the end of seminary! :) I'll pray to that end.

Alicia, I've heard Fiji is beautiful & low-key. Sounds wonderful! I dream about traipsing through Europe & staying at hostels, but my feel blister after walking a mile or two, so don't think that will ever happen. :)
Christina, I def. can see you as a beach bum. :) You praying for me brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for thinking of us!
Kristi, Hmmmm, I should start checkin out local B&Bs. It would be nice to have a weekend away.
